1.0 GENERAL$DESCRIPTION$

1.1 The$pulling$ system$shall$have$a$7500$lb$ pulling$capacity$with$hydraulically$driven$capstan$

bullwheels.$$

1.2 The$ unit$ shall$ have$ a$ constant$ pulling$ capacity$ of$ 7500$ lbs$ w/maximum$ speed$ of$ 175$

feet/minu te$ and$ be$ equipped$ with$ footage$ counter$ and$ dynamom eter$ to$ m eter$ actual$

conductor$pulling$lengths$and$tensions.$$

1.3 The$system$shall$be$powered$b y $a$liq u id $co o le d ,$diesel$engine$(minimum $34 $HP ).$

1.4 The$ unit$ shall$ have$ an$ electronic$ information$ center$ which$ provides$ digital$ readout$ of$

pulling$tensions,$pulling$distance$and$hydraulic$pressures.$It$should$also$allow$for$preset$

of$pull$tension$with$automatic$shut$off,$if$exceeded.$$

1.5 The$unit$ shall$have$ an$infinitely$variable$joystick$control$for$ on$demand$payout/pullback$Z$

eliminating$cable$storage$ree l$over$spin$(ba ck lash )$Z$from$both$an$o n bo ard $control$panel$

and$a$tethered$remote$control.$$

1.6 The$trailer$shall$be$constructed$of$rugged$high$strength$steel$channel$&$tubing$–$welded$

solid$for$rigidity$ an d$shall$be$equ ipped$w ith$an$ad justable$Pintle$eye,$mechanical$leveling$

jacks,$too l$box ,$electric$roa d$bra kes $and $DO T $stand ard $lighting.$$
